So how long does it take?
DEVELOPMENT AND CADS
This can vary slightly depending on your needs. As an outline the times are as follows:
Meeting to discuss concepts - 1 week
Ideas and cads - 2 weeks
Meeting and cad amendments - 1 week
TOTAL 4 weeks
PRODUCTION LEAD TIME
This can also vary depending on the material and complexity of the watch. An alloy watch normally takes 90 days to be made and leave the factory. Shipping needs to be added on top of this.
Stainless steel takes longer and normally takes 110 days to leave the factory. Once again, shipping time needs to be added on to this.
SAMPLE LEAD TIMES
This normally takes 6-8 weeks depending on the material the case is made from and the complexity of the mould.
If a strap needs to be tooled, this can also add to the lead time, but 8 weeks is normally the maximum.
This process can also be shortened considerably if an existing mould is suitable.
SHIPPING LEAD TIMES
Shipping times are down to you and your budget.
Watches can be delivered by Air Shipment in a week. However this is the most expensive way of shipping.
Watches can also be transported by sea, which can take 6-7 weeks and is usually much more cost effective.
